Overview: Stella's Chance offers riding programs for all skill levels, as well as specialized programs for riders with developmental disabilities. Our goal is to create impactful experiences through horsemanship.

Objective: Our goal is to support individuals in achieving their fullest potential by offering programs that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being. We aim to build confidence, enhance communication skills, and foster deep connections, while having a lot of fun and making new friends along the way.

Core Values and Commitment to our DDA Programs

Our values are guided by the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) and the Washington Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) policies. We are committed to providing high-quality, person-centered services that align with these standards to ensure the best outcomes for our clients.

As we look forward to obtaining our WA DDA Provider contracts and have exciting plans to offer a variety of fun activities within the DDA programs of community engagement and respite in the community. These activities will include art sessions, music listening, and working with animals. They are designed to help our DDA clients improve their creativity, social skills, and life skills.

Our contracts to become a DDA Provider is pending, and we will begin scheduling DDA-funded activities in January 2025. Private pay options are currently available.

Activities and Adventures

  • Animal Interactions: Spend time with our beloved horses and other animals, experiencing the therapeutic benefits they offer.

  • Nature Adventures: Explore the great outdoors with activities like guided nature walks, scavenger hunts, and wildlife observation.

  • Art and Music: Engage in creative projects and enjoy a variety of music that inspire and uplift.

  • Community Socializing: Participate in social events and outings that foster connections and friendships.

  • Community Activities: From group art sessions to listening to different kinds of music, building new friendships, and visiting and working with animals, we strive to create an activity where everyone can explore their potential and find joy in the creative process. Our goal is to foster socialization, community involvement, and the achievement of life skills goals.

  • No Waiver? No Problem - Clients who don’t qualify for DDA waivers can join our vibrant community activities through flexible private pay options. We offer 2-hour, and 15 hour increments of exciting activities each month, designed for individuals of all ages.
