🐴Tiny Riders: Blue Level ✨

Ages 4-6 / 24+ Lessons | 30 Minutes Each

Once students have completed the 4-week Hooves & Horizons, they will begin the BLUE JOURNEY and receive a blue wild rag and an achievement scroll as a special keepsake where students can collect and display their accomplishments as they progress through their programs program. Think of it as a personalized certificate, but in a fun, interactive way! 🎉🎉🐴 ! 🎉🐴

🎉 Welcome to the Blue Level of your riding adventure! 🎉
This is a special level just for our youngest cowboys and cowgirls who are learning the ropes (or should we say, the reins?) of pony care and riding.

🛑 Safety first! You will always practice with your instructor or a Ground Buddy nearby to help. Learning takes time, and that’s okay! We go at your pace—slow and steady like a careful pony.

📖 To get started, download the Rainbow Coloring Book and bring a notebook to each lesson! Your instructor will check off skills as you master them, like earning gold stars! 🌟

🏇 What You’ll Learn in Blue Level!

💙 Barn Basics & Safety
✅ I take lessons at least twice a month with my instructor.
✅ I wear my helmet (and I can put it on by myself!).
✅ I wear boots and long pants to stay safe.
✅ I know how to walk around a pony safely (Hint: No surprise sneaky moves!).
✅ I know how to check how my pony is feeling today (Is he happy? Sleepy? Ready for an adventure?).

💙 Grooming & Horse Care
✅ I know why grooming is important (Ponies love a spa day, too!).
✅ I can name 5 grooming tools and how to use them.
✅ I can pick out my pony’s hooves—just like checking for rocks in your shoe!
✅ I know how to feed a treat safely (No nibbled fingers here!).
✅ I help clean up my brushes, tack, and grooming area like a responsible horse helper.

💙 Leading My Pony Like a Pro
✅ I can hold the lead rope correctly and lead my pony.
✅ I can lead my pony through a fun pattern—over a log, around a barrel, and stop when I say "whoa!"

💙 Riding Adventures Begin!
✅ I can mount my pony (with a little help if needed!).
✅ I sit tall in the saddle with my ears, shoulders, hips, and heels lined up—just like a strong tree! 🌳
✅ I can do fun balance exercises like:
🔹 Reach for the sky! 🌤️
🔹 Touch my pony’s ears! 🐴
🔹 Hands on my hips—no wobbles!
🔹 Play “Airplane” by turning side to side! ✈️

💙 Becoming a Confident Rider
✅ I can pick up the reins and hold them like ice cream cones 🍦—yummy!
✅ I use my voice, hands, legs, and seat to tell my pony where to go.
✅ I can ride at a walk all the way around the arena without a lead line! 🚀
✅ I can trot on a lead line, keeping my balance and rhythm—like a bouncy dance!

💙 Pony Stewardship (Taking Care of My Pony!)
✅ I help clean my pony’s stall (because no one likes a messy bedroom!).
✅ I help fill water buckets—ponies need lots of drinks, just like me!
✅ I can name 10 pony parts (Hint: Hooves, mane, tail, ears, and more!).

🎓 Graduation to the Red Level!

When you complete all your Blue Level skills, it’s time for a super fun graduation challenge! You’ll show off your new skills by:
✅ Naming 3 Safety Rules
✅ Naming 5 Grooming Tools
✅ Naming 5 Horse Body Parts
✅ Naming 3 Saddle Parts
✅ Leading your pony in a simple pattern
✅ Mounting with help if needed
✅ Walking and halting independently through a simple pattern
✅ Dismounting safely

When you pass, you’ll level up to Red and get your new wildrag ! 🎉🐴

Welcome to Equine Explorers! 🏇💨 The Red Level is your first step into the exciting world of horses—where you’ll learn the basics of riding, horse care, and groundwork in a safe and supportive environment. Whether you're brand new to horses or looking to build a strong foundation, this level will have you grooming, tacking up, and riding with confidence! 🌟

🏇 What You’ll Learn in the Saddle:

✔️ Mount & dismount like a pro (mounting block welcome!) 🏇
