Ready to begin your horsemanship adventure? Whether you're 4 or 40, everyone starts their journey at Stella’s Chance with our magical 4-week introduction to horses — Hooves & Horizons!

This fun, hands-on program is the required first step before moving into our leveled programs. It’s perfect for beginners of all ages and lays the foundation for safe, confident, and joyful horse time.

🐎 Who Can Join?

• Ages 4 and up

• Group & Private Lessons available

• No experience needed — just a love for animals and a willingness to learn!

🎯 What You’ll Learn:

Each week includes age-appropriate activities and tons of hands-on horse fun! Here's a peek at what we’ll cover:

🧠 Horse Behavior & Safety

• How horses see, hear, and think

• Safely approaching, grooming, and connecting with your horse

🪢 Halter Basics

• Learning the parts of a halter

• Flat vs. rope halters

• How to tie a safety knot & lead your horse with confidence

🏇 Riding Skills (From the Ground Up!)

• Practice holding reins and riding position

• Mounting & dismounting

• Try out a leadline bareback ride (everyone’s favorite!)

• Barrel practice & instructor demo rides

🐎 Western & English Saddle Time

• Learn all the saddle parts

• Practice saddling up

• Ride a simple pattern, walk your horse, and use your first big “WHOA!”

🎉 What Happens After the 4 Weeks?

After graduating from Hooves & Horizons:

• Tiny Riders (Ages 4–7) move into our fun BLUE Level

• Riders 8+ step into the RED Level to continue building their horsemanship skills
